Introduction & Contact

I’ve been a professional sculptor for about 30 years, and a teacher of sculpture on and off throughout those years.

​

I was born in N.E. Yorkshire, an area which continues to inspire me, especially poetically. Recent years have been shared between New York and Ecuador, S. America.

​

I had no formal training; I left school at fifteen, but gained much good practice from the generosity of a number of  academically trained sculptors during my years at Madame Tussauds Waxworks, and met many Famous Celebrities in the process.

​

Before that I worked as a mould-maker for the waxworks for a number of years, and in earlier days I worked in window display.

After becoming freelance, I worked over a period of 20 years together with a Brooklyn studio, and produced many major figures for mostly N. American Institutions.

​

In recent times I’ve been given to writing poetry, an experience that I’ve found both extraordinarily exciting and liberating.
